About the event
Calgary based indie folk bluegrass band writes modern songs with traditional instrumentation and arrangements. They consistently get audiences dancing with their disarming good vibes and infectious high energy. Their 2024 EPs Pucker and Danger, Do Not Operate both charted across Canada on campus and community radio reaching the number 5 spot on the national Folk and Roots Charts, with Pucker peaking at number 2 in Calgary on CJSW. The Sour Patch Men have played and headlined festivals around southern Alberta, including Waynestock, sharing the stage with artists such as BC/DC, Wyatt C. Lewis, Stubbs and The, Amy Nelson, Carter Felker and Boots Graham.
YYC Music Award-nominated musician Natalie Inga brings a quirky sense of humour and a modern perspective to the tradition of writing for change. Her songs are poignant and celebratory, bringing elements of soul, pop and rock to her folkie sound. Her 2024 album NOTHING LESS THAN ME was #17 on the CKUA Top 30 Chart in August 2024 and spent 9 consecutive weeks charting with CJSW in the Folk/Roots/Blues category.
